A new era begins: Netsky releases 'Feel Again'
A couple of weeks ago, Belgian producer and DJ Netsky wiped his social media and directed fans to a site with an unusual webcore aesthetic, reflecting his self-proclaimed obsession with tech and coding.
It started with netsky.sh, a website that appeared without announcement, carrying new music and little else. Netsky wiped his Instagram clean and let the speculation build, eventually posting just one thing: a screen recording of the site. For anyone who had been following closely, the direction of travel was obvious. The destination arrived on Friday 25 September, when Feel Again (with Hannah Boleyn) premiered simultaneously on BBC Radio 1, Studio Brussel, 3FM and several of Europe's largest stations as part of Europe's Biggest Dance Show. The track is out officially today via Helix Records/N.E.W.S., and it is the first in a new run of releases.
Pairing Netsky with vocalist Hannah Boleyn, Feel Again lands somewhere between the euphoric and the personal, which is exactly where he has always been most at home. It arrives from an artist whose catalogue already spans collaborations with Lil Wayne, David Guetta, Dua Lipa and Bebe Rexha, and whose shows have taken him from Coachella to Glastonbury to Tomorrowland's Mainstage. Splitting his time between Los Angeles and Antwerp, with the UK scene threaded through his music just as deeply, Netsky has spent years building something that belongs to no single sound or place. Feel Again makes that clearer than ever, and by any measure, it is just the beginning.
