Andromedik drops debut album ‘Ascension’

Belgium’s rising drum & bass star Andromedik is ready to take things to the next level. His long-awaited debut album Ascension lands on October 31, followed by a massive solo show in Antwerp on November 1, the next edition of his signature event Andromedik Invites, featuring a heavyweight international line-up.

“Where my Rise EP set the tone, Ascension takes it all the way,” says Andromedik (Axel Demarbaix). “This album shows who I truly am as an artist – from emotional moments to pure club energy.”

Two years in the making. One goal: real music, real emotion.

Ascension took nearly two years to create, born from a point where Andromedik’s songwriting and production hit new heights. The result is a body of work made not for algorithms or DJ tools, but for people seeking energy and emotion.

“I wanted to prove that drum & bass can have real songs – with hooks, melodies and feeling – and still go hard,” he explains.

The album takes listeners on a journey through Andromedik’s full spectrum: from nostalgic nods (Nothing Like You) to high-energy anthems (Stone of Air), emotional cuts (Feelings) and festival bangers (Sunlight).

High-profile collabs: Netsky, Kanine, Lauren L’aimant & more

Ascension features collaborations with some of Andromedik’s biggest inspirations and close friends in the scene. A track with Netsky marks a personal milestone:

“I’ve said in almost every interview that he’s my biggest inspiration,” he laughs.

Other guests include Kanine, Lauren L’aimant – returning for the lead single Only One after their earlier collabs on Comedown and Air – plus Basstripper (BE) and A Little Sound (UK) on the standout tune Sunlight.

Andromedik Invites: his biggest solo show

On November 1, Andromedik brings Andromedik Invites back to Antwerp Expo for his biggest solo show to date. Expect an explosive A/V experience with over 360m² of LED screens and a lineup curated by the man himself, featuring Camo & Krooked, Metrik, Emily Makis b2b Lens, Arcando and more.

“We’re going all in,” says Andromedik. “Everything comes together – the music, the visuals, the energy. I can’t wait to share it with everyone.”

With Ascension, Andromedik cements his place among Europe’s drum & bass elite – proving once again that Belgium’s D&B scene is very much alive and kicking.
