Antdot performs at CORE Medellín
One of Tomorrowland's most mythical stages
Tuesday, May 21, 2024 – After reaching the top #10 overall on Beatport with his latest release, “Corpo e Canção”, Antdot continues to establish his name as one of the most influential producers of the moment. After a historic performance on the CORE stage at Tomorrowland Brasil, b2b with Maz, his partner at their record label Dawn Patrol, Antdot was selected for the unprecedented edition of the stage on Colombian lands. The artist guarantees that his return to CORE was filled with sentimental value, this time in Medellín.
“I think that CORE has a unique magic, without a doubt I already have an affectionate memory with the stage and the people at CORE. In Brazil we experienced a very special moment together, it was one of Antdot's most memorable sets to date, if not the most" he comments.
On May 11th and 12th, the CORE stage made its long-awaited debut in Colombia. The date also marked Antdot's first time in the country, with the artist and ANNA being the only representatives at the festival. With a high level of expectation, Antdot was responsible for opening the main stage, which throughout his performance was warming up and gradually filling up. With a set specially designed for the occasion, there was no shortage of peak moments, its highlights being his hits “Povoada”, “Corpo e Canção” and “Your Love”, as well as new tracks such as his latest release “Run”, alongside Maz, on Cercle Records.
The Brazilian shared the stage with names like Agents Of Time, Kölsch and Bora Uzer, Chet Faker, just to name a few.
“I think everything in an event starts with the warm-up. In fact, it is a very big responsibility to open and deliver a good vibe for the next artist. As I play a lot of original music, after all, I think people come to my show to hear it, I generally think about the structure of the set aligned with the time I'm going to play and the artists who play before and after me!” says Antdot about the setlist.
Today, Antdot is experiencing one of the most positive phases of his career, guaranteeing him prominent positions in editorial playlists and ranking as the #2 top afro house artist in sales on Beatport in the year 2024. Currently, his record label Dawn Patrol, alongside partner Maz, still holds the third position as afro house record label on the platform.
The Brazilian is confirmed for the Tomorrowland Belgium line-up. The artist will perform on both weekends of the festival, playing on the 20th solo and on the 26th of July alongside Maz, repeating the dose of the most watched b2b on the Tomorrowland Brasil channel last year on Mainstage.
