Pukkelpop: Oscar and the Wolf’s homecoming with dazzling pop- extravaganza
Oscar and the Wolf returned to the Pukkelpop MainStage to conclude his highly celebrated Taste Tour with one of Belgium’s most ambitious live shows
Saturday, August 16, 2025 – Three years after his triumphant comeback on stage, Oscar and the Wolf returned to the Pukkelpop MainStage to conclude his highly celebrated Taste Tour with one of Belgium’s most ambitious live shows. This was not the finale, but also the introduction for what’s to come.
A hit-filled pop hurricane
During golden hour, Oscar and the Wolf delivered a breathtaking, high-octane headline performance to a roaring crowd of over 50,000. The stage included his towering LED cube, came alive with more than 30 dancers, a powerhouse live band, cinematic visuals, and a cascade of confetti colouring the sky. It was more than a concert - it was a triumphant odyssey of sound, movement, and raw emotion, charting Max Colombie’s (Oscar and the Wolf) powerful journey from the shadows of addiction to a radiant new chapter.
Pukkelpop has always been a pivotal landmark in that story. After debuting in 2012 on the intimate Club stage, the festival has seen him blossom into the superstar he is today throughout. Back in 2022, it became the stage for his monumental comeback after a dark chapter with the premiere of his hit “ Warrior ”, igniting the start of the Taste era. Tonight, that era takes its final bow, closing one chapter and opening the door to a bold new beginning.
F*CK OFF, F*CK HARD
Alongside a setlist stacked with crowd-favourite anthems and hidden gems from his fourth album Taste, Max Colombie treated fans to something entirely unexpected - the live premiere of an unreleased track. “FUCK HARD” is a blazing preview of what’s to come next with Taste: unapologetic, unfiltered, and dripping with raw emotion. It’s a track that pulses with liberation, driven by instinct rather than inhibition, daring listeners to embrace their most authentic selves. To be continued…
Not a finale, but an encore
Oscar and the Wolf’s Pukkelpop set wasn’t just the closing act of a remarkable comeback, it felt like a victory lap. Coming hot on the heels of two sold-out Sportpaleis shows in March, a European tour and a whirlwind festival run last summer, the night carried the energy of an encore that refuses to fade. This October, Max Colombie will take Taste on its final journey, with a string of international dates in Istanbul, Tbilisi, Dubai, Berlin, and Barcelona, each promising to deliver a powerful, celebratory send-off to an unforgettable era, while the new era is already on its way.
