Roméo Elvis & Oscar and the Wolf announce EP ‘Jardin’ with new single “Lose My Baby”
After the summer hit “Ceiling” and two sold-out shows at Ancienne Belgique in just two hours this December, Roméo Elvis and Oscar and the Wolf return on Friday, October 31 with “Lose My Baby”, a twilight love song that blends hope, melancholy, and surrender. It’s the second single from their joint EP ‘Jardin’, set for release on Friday, December 12, and available for pre-order now everywhere.
With “Lose My Baby”, they explore a more nuanced emotional landscape. The result is an intimate and hypnotic love song that balances fragility and comfort, a tribute to both holding on and letting go. It’s not a traditional love ballad, but a moment of pure surrender, a reminder that love can hurt, and that there’s beauty within that pain.
“What would the world be like without you?” That’s the question Oscar and Roméo ask themselves in this poetic and captivating track. Roméo Elvis explains: "We live complex lives in a world full of uncertainty. Sometimes you need to face your fears to truly appreciate what life gives you.” Max Colombie adds: “It’s like a tormented, romantic, and poetic love song, you’re so deeply in love that you feel your soul and body would fade away from sorrow".
Beyond the personal, “Lose My Baby” also reflects today’s chaotic and insecure times. Roméo sings: “Je veux rester dans le fond du jardin pendant que le monde pète,” a powerful image caught between refuge and resistance. The duo touches on destruction, war, but also the belief that love will heal us. In a world on edge, their project contrasts the prevailing fear, celebrating acceptance, tenderness, and the choice to love despite everything. A song straight from the hearts of two artists who found each other through friendship and music.
Lose My Baby” will be available on all streaming platforms from October 31 at midnight.
